RAM, or Random Access Memory, is a type of computer data storage, that allows the information to be read randomly without accessing the preceding bytes before that. This makes the RAM noticeably quicker than other sorts of storage devices like DVDs or HDDs where all the data needs to be read in order to access certain information. If you have a shared hosting account, the total amount of memory which your web apps can use may not be fixed and may sometimes rely upon the free memory that is available on the physical machine. When using a standalone web server, however, there's always a minimum amount of physical memory that shall be for your use at all times and won't be assigned to other customers even when it's not being used. That is valid with our virtual and dedicated servers.
Guaranteed RAM in Dedicated Servers
The amount of RAM that comes with every dedicated server which we offer you is big enough even for really resource-demanding web apps. The memory shall be readily available for your websites and every other software you install on the hosting server at all times, so if at some point you use merely a fraction of the system resources that you have, we will never alter the hardware configuration which you have ordered. All of the components are tested before the machine is assembled, including the RAM sticks, to make certain that you shall get a flawlessly functioning machine that will ensure the best possible overall performance for your websites. The amount of physical memory which you have will be listed together with the full server configuration specifications in your billing Control Panel.
